Chapter 1233: Listen to the Moms
Chapter 1233: Listen to the Moms
After receiving Easton Holmes’ call, Sophia Wood immediately drove to the hospital, where she met Amelia Linton downstairs in the inpatient department, who had gone home to fetch some things.
Both of them paused for a moment, then nodded to each other.
Seeing Amelia holding things, Sophia proactively stepped forward to help, "Let me carry some for you."
She reached out to take some items from Amelia’s hand but was avoided.
"There aren’t that many things, I can manage on my own. Lily Turner really wants to see you now, you should hurry up and find her," Amelia said, holding quite a few things but still managing on her own, knowing the most important thing now was Lily Turner, who was waiting upstairs to see Sophia.
Sophia originally wanted to take the things from Amelia but, thinking Lily was still waiting upstairs for her, she didn’t insist further and rushed into the inpatient department with large strides, "I’ll head up first, take your time."
As her words fell, her figure vanished from the entrance of the inpatient department.
When Amelia reached upstairs with a pile of items, Sophia was sitting on the bed holding Lily Turner, who nestled in Sophia’s arms with a face full of nervousness and helplessness.
"Mom! Is a C-section less painful?" Lily, inexperienced in childbirth, had only read about it in books, where she learned that childbirth is extremely painful, worrying she wouldn’t be able to endure it and might shy away.
Upon hearing this, both Sophia and Amelia immediately voiced their opposition.
"Natural birth is better! You must go for a natural birth!"
"It’s better for both the child and the mother!"
Both mothers disagreed with Lily having a C-section, their reasons aligned and their opposing stance was firm.
Lily had also read many books about pregnancy lately, understanding the benefits of a natural birth, yet she couldn’t help but feel anxious.
"I was just saying casually, you both don’t need to react so strongly," she said, having to abandon the idea of a C-section with both moms disapproving.
Easton Holmes also disagreed with the C-section, but seeing Lily so nervous, he refrained from joining the two mothers in opposing her, choosing silence as his best option.
Now hearing her say this, he felt slightly relieved though still not completely at ease until the final decision was made.
Sophia embraced Lily, sensing her nervousness, "You don’t need to be so anxious, we’ll all be here with you."
She was advising her daughter not to be anxious, yet she felt more nervous than her daughter, not having been this tense when she had Lily.
"I know..."
Suddenly, Lily felt an intense urge in her belly, wanting to go to the bathroom, drawing the attention of all three.
"What’s wrong? Is your belly starting to hurt?" Sophia asked immediately, with Amelia and Easton staring at Lily, slightly concerned.
Lily shook her head, "I want to go to the bathroom."
With that, she was about to get out of bed to go to the bathroom.
"You can’t go to the bathroom."
"You can’t go!"
With experience in childbirth, the two mothers spoke simultaneously, aiming to stop Lily from going to the bathroom.
"Why?"
"Listen to the moms."
Lily questioned, and Easton answered her with a single sentence.
