Chapter 1180 Usher a new world
Chapter 1180 Usher a new world
Michael's eyes widened. He felt ping after ping after ping after ping. There was no stopping. It became so much that he was simply hearing bells in his head like some kind of machine gun.
He almost asked Huntrax to stop so that he could compose himself. After all, SSS-class talents were extremely rare! The only ones who had that were Zion and Jaku.
But now, there were SSS-class talents popping up out of nowhere. Of course he wanted to stop and see who it was.
He opened his senses, allowing the [Golden Nose] skill to do its job. And in his vision, he saw multiple golden threads come out from all over the globe.
Some of them were so far out, like half-way around the world, one of them was in the town they had just passed over, some were on the Eastern side and over the ocean, some were on the Western side as well.
And surprisingly, there were a lot of those talented people in the Northern Side of the Royal Continent.
Now, given that the Northern side of the Queens region was where the elites resided, this shouldn't have been much of a surprise.
However, the [Golden Nose] only worked on people who hadn't yet awakened their talent. If they had become a Maugnetic or become a wizard, then the Golden Nose wouldn't have picked them up.
This meant only one thing: there were some people in the Northern side of the Royal Continent who had a latent talent anyone had yet to know.
"Is something wrong? Are you feeling okay?" Huntrax asked as he gripped Michael's shoulders and brought him along for the ride.
"I'm fine. I'm just… thinking about things."
He was now starting to wonder why the [Golden Nose] had suddenly shown him this kind of vision.
Why now? Why not when he had been travelling all over the Royal Continent? When he visited New Sparta, he didn't see an ounce of talent com out from the population.
But now, they were sprouting out like weeds. And not only that, Michael was sensing the talents of people all over the world! In places that were thousands of kilometers away from where he was. In places where he didn't even know existed!
His [Golden Nose] shouldn't have that big of a radius of detection.
Could it be because of the Nascent Influence?
His question made more sense as he thought about it. After all, with people no longer seeing Magic in their reality, the atmosphere around the world had become incredibly pure. It had become something that was not affected by human intervention.
It was like seeing a turbid river suddenly cleansed of all its garbage. Now, even if the river was as deep as the ocean, he could still see the bottom as clear as day.
That was what happened with his [Golden Nose]. It allowed him to see shining talent all over the world!
Immediately, he began planning. He would want those talented people on his side, especially in such a troubling situation that they were all in.
It was now more important than ever that he continued on his journey to create comfort all over the world.
Now that magic, perhaps the most convenient super power in all of reality, was gone, it was now his job to show everyone that you didn't need magic to be comfortable. All you needed was engineering and science.
Michael had neglected the Nation of Reborn for so long now. He had been so focused on expanding their boundaries, making sure that they were continuing to progress further into the Royal Continent.
But now, perhaps it was time for him to focus inward.
This fight with the Nascent Diamond leaders had opened his eyes. It had made him realize how truly unprepared they were to fight against the big powers of the world.
Case in point, he was clueless even as the Grandmaster erased the very existence of magic. He couldn't even stop it because he didn't even know it was happening.
He might have been able to protect himself, but he was sure that a lot of the Rebornians back in the Kings region were affected.
They were still using magic. This loss would be a tremendous blow to them.
But now, Michael knew what to do. He was going to go back to his roots, making sure that the Nation of Reborn could survive even without magic, even without Aubility Powers.
That way, no one would be able to change their reality, not even if a Nascent Influence were to come over their citadel.
And to do that, he needed power. He needed to consolidate the members of Reborn.
He was going to need a lot of hands for this to happen. He needed talented people, which thankfully, he could easily reach thanks to his [Golden Nose].
With their help, he was going to make a Utopia.
…
…
…
Back in New Sparta, things had become truly chaotic. The loss of magic had completely upended the strength and stability that the Guild of Arcana had gathered throughout their entire tenure as a major organization of the world.
Mages and Wizards panicked, looking towards the skies wondering if the gods had forsaken them.
But it wasn't just them. The Order of the Heavenly Knights found themselves slinging ordinary weapons.
Once they could cleave mountains, now they could barely cut steel.
The Conglomerates and the Upper Echelons were only out of balance for a mere second.
Then, these sly foxes and snakes were able to compose themselves with ease. After all, they still held power. Their Maugnetic cultivators were still at the top of the food chain.
And arguably, they were even stronger than before. After all, there was no one to challenge them. The Knights and the Wizards were weakened. They were without competition.
And so, they began to change their plans. Using the new, drastic change in the world to further leverage themselves upwards.
But… they quickly realize that they couldn't do this by themselves.
With teleportation and magic out of the way, the importance of automobiles became even more critical.
And in the end, everyone's eyes were focused on Reborn.
