"You have to be kidding me," the women who were stopped cursed under their breaths. They did not want to help the Li or the Rong family but it was the Village Head Gu who asked them.

Village Head Gu turned to her family and said, "I will go and help them. You close the doors and windows. I will be hiding in the main house, it's closer to their fields."
Old Master Gu did not want his wife to go but she was the head of the village. With her position, she couldn't stay inside the house while the villagers worked hard.
What was more, she had helped the entire village. If she overlooked these two families then she would be blamed, at least by helping them a little, Yu Dong would be able to clear up her name.

"Have them go to my house," Yu Dong thought of something that would turn this disaster into an opportunity. "There is something that I want them to do."
Hearing her words, Village Head Gu nodded. She turned to one of the mammies and then relayed the names of the best hunters of the Village.
The mammy took the list and then rushed to bring the women to the Yu family.
Everyone worked hard to harvest the rice growing in the Li and the Rong families but even after cutting for the next half hour, they could only harvest less than two mus of rice.
By the time they started on the third mu before getting to the fourth, the locusts started approaching.
"We cannot harvest anymore! There is no way, if we stay here anymore, we will be swarmed by those things!" The rice fields were outside the village and even the main house was at a five-minute distance from the fields.
If they did not leave now then they would be attacked by the locusts.
What was more, the locusts were attracted by the scent of food. They were surely going to attack the rice fields and the greenhouses. The greenhouses were covered but the paddies were not!
