Chapter 491 - 490: Good Intentions Gone Wrong
Archer Quinn was taken aback by the question and turned his head to look at her, "Old Sutton already told you?"
Bella Acker nodded, a hint of guilt in her expression, "Brother Sutton mentioned it to me last night."
Archer Quinn sighed, thinking to himself, Old Sutton, you really know how to stir up trouble for me.
"I don’t care at all about those online rumors, you don’t need to worry about it," Archer Quinn said. "Old Sutton just tends to overthink things."
Old Sutton, who was busy with work, suddenly sneezed, feeling like someone was talking about him behind his back.
Senior Quinn had helped her so much, yet she still refused Brother Sutton’s request to help him out. Bella Acker felt a persistent sense of guilt in her heart, "Senior Quinn, does it really not matter at all about those rumors?"
"No, it really doesn’t matter." Archer Quinn joked, "Bella, do you really think I might like men?"
"If you did like men, let me think... I don’t think there’s anyone in the entertainment industry who matches up to you?"
"You little fool, there’s no need to even think about it. How could I possibly like men?" Archer Quinn smiled and lightly tapped her on the forehead with his finger. "These online rumors will naturally disappear once I find a girlfriend and get married. No need to pay them any mind."
"Really?" Bella Acker was skeptical, "But when Brother Sutton mentioned it, it sounded quite serious."
That’s because he wanted to create an opportunity for me to pursue you! It ended up being a well-intentioned but misguided effort.
Archer Quinn thought to himself, "Old Sutton is getting on in years, and he likes to make a big deal out of small matters."
What does this have to do with getting old? Besides, Brother Sutton looks at most around forty, still in his prime, hardly old.
Bella Acker smiled, "Senior Quinn, do you think Brother Sutton knows you’re teasing him like this?"
"Whenever we meet, we often tease each other," Archer Quinn responded with the flow of her words, changing the topic. "I’ve known Old Sutton for over ten years. When we first met, I was a newbie, and he was too..."
Listening to Archer Quinn talk about his funny stories with Brother Sutton, the tension Bella Acker was feeling began to dissipate quite a bit.
Afterward, they had lunch together, and Archer Quinn wanted to take a nap. Bella Acker then headed out of the hospital with Judy Zimmerman.
She had the day off with nothing else planned, and she didn’t intend to return to the apartment. So she decided to take Judy Zimmerman to the orphanage to visit Aunt Sienna and Ethan.
The car stopped at the entrance of the orphanage. Usually, Aunt Sienna would meet her at the gate, but today it was only Ethan.
Bella Acker got out of the car and saw Ethan standing at the door, smiling as she approached to give him a hug, "Ethan, did you miss Bella?"
"Yes, I did." Ethan nodded earnestly.
"Good boy." Bella Acker gave his chubby cheek a kiss and asked, "Where’s Aunt Sienna?"
"Aunt Sienna’s sick," Ethan replied, "she’s sleeping in bed."
"Aunt Sienna’s sick?" Bella Acker frowned, "Why didn’t you guys call me?" she said as she took Ethan’s hand and quickly walked inside.
Bella Acker was anxious. As she entered Aunt Sienna’s room, she was hit by the strong smell of herbal medicine.
"Bella, you’re back." Aunt Sienna heard the commotion and tried to prop herself up on the bed, but her arms seemed too weak to lift her body.
Bella Acker hurried forward to support her, "Aunt Sienna, why didn’t you call me when you got sick?"
"It’s just a cold, nothing serious, cough cough!"
