The cold wind whistles through the fifty-meter-high cliff.

"Proceed as planned, rappell down in batches. Sniper team, provide cover." Gray Wolf's voice came through the tactical headset.
Lu Ye lay prone on the edge of the cliff, bracing the bipod of his SVCh sniper rifle against the hard rock.
With his eye close to the dual-mode sight combining thermal imaging and low-light, the crosshairs were positioned over the heat source at the observation point on the north side of the village, 450 meters away.
"Clear visibility to the north, target locked," Lu Ye reported softly, his index finger resting on the trigger guard.
"South side locked." On the other side, the remaining eagle eye also locked onto the observation point on the south side.
Under the cover of the two men, Gray Wolf, the female officer, and Vasily walked to the cliff face in batches and fastened the figure-eight loops of the rappelling ropes into their tactical belts.
All three were wearing non-slip gloves. They pushed off the rock face with their feet and slid quickly and silently down the cliff.
At the same time, the giant bear, the detonator, and the iron eagle also descended rapidly along another rope.
In less than ten seconds, all six people landed safely.
In the shadows at the bottom of the cliff, they were in a tactical crouching position.
"Advance to the 200-meter boundary and stand by," Gray Wolf ordered.
Six dark figures moved forward, taking turns providing cover in the wasteland.
Two hundred meters from the village's rear wall, everyone stopped and lay prone in the mud.

"The patrol team on the north side has left," Lu Ye reported.
"Keep quiet," came the gray wolf's voice.
One minute later.
"The patrol team on the south side has made contact and returned," Iron Eagle, who was in charge of the south side, reported in a low voice over the channel from the cliff.
Once the southern patrol had completely disappeared from sight, Gray Wolf issued the operational order: "Move out. Clear the target."
Lu Ye moved his finger into the trigger guard and gently pulled it.
"puff!"
The SVCh, equipped with a special silencer, emitted a low, muffled sound.
The heat source, who was just about to sit down at the observation point on the north side, suddenly jerked his head back and his entire body went limp behind the cover.
"The north side is cleared!"

"The south side is cleared." Hawkeye's voice followed immediately.
"Charge!" Gray Wolf ordered.
The six people who were lying two hundred meters away split into two groups and instantly got up, running wildly through the wasteland under the cover of night.
One team, consisting of a female officer, Vasily, and Captain Gray Wolf, headed to the northern observation post, while another team, consisting of Iron Eagle, Giant Bear, and Detonator, headed to the southern observation post.
Two hundred meters passed in the blink of an eye. The gray wolf rushed to the low wall first, put his hands on the top of the wall, and nimbly vaulted over.
Immediately afterwards, the female officer, Vasily, also rolled over and entered.
"Looks like she's not just a pretty face; she's got some real skills." From the helicopter descent to the stealthy advance and the final charge, Lu Ye could clearly see that this female officer was very experienced.

Lu Ye's crosshair kept scanning ahead of them, observing the enemies they might encounter along their route.
Suddenly, Lu Ye's brow twitched.
Through his dual-lens scope, three gun-wielding figures were sauntering out of a small alley on the east side of the church.
Judging from their route, they will run into Eagle Eye and Lynx, who are moving close to the wall, at the next corner.
"Eagle Eye, stop right there!" Lu Ye immediately warned in the channel, "Three scouts at the 12 o'clock position, 15 meters away from you, are approaching."
Hawkeye and Lynx froze on the spot, pressed tightly against the brick wall.
They happened to walk into an alley with brick walls on both sides, leaving them nowhere to hide.
"Lu, can you handle this? We have no cover in this location." Hawkeye's hand was already reaching for the knife on his tactical vest.
"They're in a single file, too close together. I can only handle the two at the back." Lu Ye stared intently through the scope. "The one in front, you guys handle him. I'll count to one, then we'll all move at the same time."
